Some Suburbs tapping into Twitter
I chose to do the article about Twitter. It talks about how cities are tapping into Twitter so they can send out alerts to people for example snow emergencies, and spring sewer back-ups. Its a good way for cities to alert people with the new technology these days. I chose this article just because in the last couple of weeks we have been talking about the internet and using resources online to find out informations so that i thought that this article talked about a little of something that we have been doing on the internet.

I really enjoyed reading the first article about the private inspector and the Peanut Corporation. it was really interesting seeing another article in the Times about the Peanut Corporation just because this is probably the third time i have seen a article about the corporation within the last month. It was really interesting hearing that there was a investigator in the corporation before the peanuts were spoiled and ended up giving people salmonella and ended up killing a couple of people. It was said that the investigator did not need to check for that and that he did not know how to check for that which i thought was interesting as well. Overall this article just caught me because the article has been in the papers all throughout the month doing follow-ups on it.

I chose to write on the local article from the star tribune. It is talking about the snow emergency that awe are having right now and i just thought it was interesting because as im doing this assignment im working at the metrodome tell 3 in the morning and just wondering how bad the roads are going to be when i try to get back to school tonight. I woke up this morning not thinking that we were going to have this bad of a storm and when i was trying to make it down to the Dome tonight it took me a lot longer because of how bad the roads are. It was really interesting reading about the snow emergencies and really knowing how bad it is outside. I like reading about local stuff a little more just because you know where everything is and whats going on.

I decided to talk about the article “Afgan Blast Kills 4 U.S. Soldiers” because we have been talking about leads lately in class and when i saw the headlines then read the first sentence it really grabbed me. It starts out by telling you what happened where and when and then what will become of this with President Obama deploying more troops. Then after the first paragraph it goes on to talk more about the bombing and what the troops were doing at the time it happened.
